A Golden Evening Along Lake Michigan
Some engagement sessions feel less like a photoshoot and more like an evening spent with old friends. That was exactly the case with Klaire and Tate’s session in Michigan City, Indiana.
The beach has always been one of their favorite places to be together. Choosing the shoreline for their engagement photos felt natural from the very beginning. As the sun slowly dropped toward the horizon, golden light wrapped around them and created the dreamiest setting imaginable. Between the warm breeze, the sound of the waves, and the glow of the evening sky, everything seemed to slow down for a little while.
A Love That Feels Effortless
What stood out most wasn’t the scenery, though. It was the way Klaire and Tate interacted with one another. Their love is incredibly tender and genuine. There is a quiet comfort between them that makes every moment feel effortless.
Whether they were walking hand-in-hand along the water, laughing together in the sand, or simply soaking in the view, they made my job easy. Every interaction felt natural, and it was clear how much they enjoy simply being together.
Exploring Michigan City’s Beautiful Shoreline
We spent nearly two hours exploring the beach, yet somehow the time disappeared in an instant. Those are always my favorite sessions—the ones where conversation flows naturally, the pressure fades away, and the experience feels less like taking photos and more like creating memories together.
Michigan City provided the perfect backdrop for this engagement session. The shoreline, sandy dunes, and stunning Lake Michigan views gave us endless opportunities for beautiful portraits while still allowing the focus to remain on their connection.
Looking Ahead to Their Indiana Wedding
After spending the evening with Klaire and Tate, I am even more excited for their wedding day next June in Indiana. If their engagement session was any indication, it is going to be a day filled with joy, intention, and so much love.
