Emmery & Johnny’s Allure on the Lake Wedding

Some wedding days simply feel extra special. Emmery and Johnny’s Allure on the Lake wedding was one of those days.

From the quiet moments getting ready with family to a packed dance floor at the end of the night, their wedding was full of joy. More importantly, you could feel how deeply their friends and family love them.

As an Allure on the Lake wedding photographer, I had been looking forward to this celebration for a long time. Somehow, it was even better than I imagined.

Getting Ready With Family

We started the morning at their parents’ home. Emmery and Johnny got ready surrounded by the people closest to them.

I love when couples begin their wedding day somewhere meaningful. A family home adds another layer of emotion to those early moments.

Throughout the morning, I photographed the details, getting ready moments, and time spent with family. Meanwhile, the excitement continued to build.

Before we knew it, everyone was ready to begin the next part of the day.

Garden Wedding Portraits

Next, we headed to a local garden for couple and wedding party portraits.

The gardens gave us a beautiful setting for photos before the ceremony. They also gave Emmery and Johnny a chance to slow down and enjoy a little time together.

Of course, I love creating beautiful and intentional wedding portraits. However, I also pay close attention to everything happening in between.

A quick laugh, the groom shedding a tear, or a quiet moment between the couple can become a favorite image. Often, those unplanned moments tell the story best.

After portraits, we headed to the church.

Emmery & Johnny’s Ceremony at St. Paul’s Church

Emmery and Johnny held their wedding ceremony at St. Paul’s Church.

Their friends and family gathered together as they officially became husband and wife. After a morning filled with anticipation, it was finally time to say “I do.”

The ceremony added another meaningful chapter to an already beautiful day.

Then, with Emmery and Johnny officially married, we headed to the reception!

Wedding Portraits at The Allure on the Lake

After the ceremony, we made our way to The Allure on the Lake.

Before the reception started, we stepped outside for more newlywed portraits. This gave Emmery and Johnny a few minutes together before joining their guests.

I always love building this time into a wedding day. Portraits give couples a chance to step away from the excitement and soak everything in.

Plus, the venue gave us another beautiful backdrop for their gallery.

Soon after, it was time to celebrate.

An Allure on the Lake Wedding Reception

Emmery and Johnny had an incredible number of friends and family there to celebrate with them.

The room felt full of energy from the beginning. Guests enjoyed delicious food, spent time together, and celebrated the newlyweds all evening.

Most of all, you could see how much everyone loves Emmery and Johnny.

Then the band took over, and the party really started.

The dance floor stayed packed as everyone danced the night away. Friends and family laughed, sang, hugged, and celebrated together. Because of that energy, there was never a shortage of moments to photograph.

These are some of my favorite parts of wedding photography.

I love the beautiful portraits and thoughtfully planned details. Still, the candid moments often make a wedding gallery feel complete. Those photographs bring you right back to how the day felt.

A Wedding Day Full of Love

Emmery and Johnny’s wedding was beautiful from beginning to end.

The gardens, church, portraits, and The Allure on the Lake created gorgeous settings throughout the day. However, the people made this wedding unforgettable.

Their friends and family showed up ready to celebrate them. The entire day included laughter, hugs, happy tears, and so much joy.

As a Chicagoland wedding photographer, I feel incredibly lucky to document celebrations like this. I get to preserve the big moments while also watching for the small ones that couples may not even notice.

Those little pieces eventually become part of the story they get to keep forever.

Emmery and Johnny, thank you for trusting me to photograph your wedding day. I had been looking forward to celebrating with you, and your day was everything I hoped it would be.
